Located at latitude 16.29 N longitude 85.54 W The GUANAJA ISLAND CLUB has a wonderful climate, cool breezes, white sand beaches and crystal blue waters for you to enjoy. The resort owned and operated by Diver/Adventurer Brian Rowland is an oasis nestled in the middle of this undiscovered island paradise. No roads, no traffic, no crowds and no beaches lined side-by-side with hotels. Removed from the confines of civilization, guests can roam the miles of unspoiled beaches and lush volcanic mountains covered with jungle fauna and birds. Scuba Dive and Snorkel on virgin reefs, circumnavigate the island or paddle out for a leisurely day in a state-of-the-art-Sea kayak, sail a Hobie Cat, take a swim in the tropical waters or just relax in a beach hammock and enjoy one of our world famous tropical drinks. It's up to you. Be as busy or relaxed as you want! In The End of the World's beach bar, resident parrots join you for drinks and are happy to make friends with you. To raise the activity level try one of our house drink favorites; Monkey La La or a Shrunken Skull mystery drink. To really smooth out the scene try one of the world's best Honduran cigars readily available in the bar. Meal times at The End of the World are highlighted with such dishes as Rum and Spice marinated grilled Fish, Coconut Shrimp and Island Pork slices in a pineapple chutney.
From the cabanas, panoramic ocean views are breathtaking and certainly one of the most beautiful in the world. Bedrooms are decorated with native stone masks and local artifacts. All have private bathrooms and deck areas. The fresh sea breezes and forest shade provide natural air-conditioning. Crystal clear water bubbles from ancient volcanic wells that cascade into a waterfall which provide the mountainside cabanas with the sweetest drinking water you have ever tasted. In the evening, relax and watch the sunset as dusk turns to night while oil filled tiki torches glow softly under the star filled skies.
